Autac has been recognised for its exporting efforts in the category of International Trade Award at the 2019 Northern Automotive Alliance Awards (NAA).
The Awards showcase the successes of vehicle manufacturers, supply chain companies and service providers across the North West of England. The winners were announced at the Alliance’s Annual Dinner in Knutsford in November.
Of particular appeal to the judges was Autac’s ‘thorough and methodical approach in the development of its export strategy’.
"our Award-winning companies have not only been getting on with the job, but have been striving for continuous improvement"
In announcing the winners, Wes Jacklin, Chairman of Directors and Advisory Board, Northern Automotive Alliance acknowledged the resilience of the sector,
“Despite the automotive industry facing various challenges over the past 12 months, including well-documented political issues, our Award-winning companies have not only been getting on with the job, but have been striving for continuous improvement, and it’s excellent to see such progress in areas such as efficiency and sustainability.”
The NAA has a long track record in supporting and nurturing supply chain companies to grow into larger businesses. Its focus on strengthening the upstream supply chain in the UK is very much aligned with Autac’s strategy to offer end-to-end supply chain management in cable, cable assembly and electric vehicles.
As David Lowe, Autac’s MD, comments,
“A cornerstone of our export strategy is offering our customers very tangible improvements to their cable manufacture: whether that be product innovation; support from our new cable assemblies venture in Congleton; or product and partner sourcing from only the best suppliers from across the globe.
We’re delighted to be recognised by the automotive industry in this way, and look forward to working more closely with the NAA over the coming year.”
